Founder Jackie Starr
Jackie Starr, the personal barber for Floyd Mayweather Jr. for many years, is a prominent figure in the Las Vegas community. Originally from St. Louis, Starr moved to Las Vegas and opened the first Iced Out Barbershop in 2004. Her shop has been a cornerstone of the city’s community for 20 years.
Starr has expanded her business to include a second location in Las Vegas. In addition to her barber and beauty services, Starr has Iced Out products that include hair products as well as barber and hair styling tools. Expanding her brand, she is set to debut a new apparel line.
Starr is deeply involved in community initiatives, viewing her shop as a place where everyone, regardless of background or income, can feel welcome. She actively supports the community through events like free haircuts for children and collaborations with figures like Gladys Knight to promote economic stimulus efforts.
Starr’s connections extend beyond her community work to include strong relationships in the entertainment industry. Her friendship with Floyd Mayweather Jr. began years ago and has continued to grow through their professional collaboration.
Despite her success, Starr remains humble, attributing her achievements to her faith and community support. Her dedication to her customers and her community underscores her commitment to making a positive impact in Las Vegas.
